What are NAPCRG's Goals and Indicators and What Do They Mean?

As NAPCRG grows in complexity and stature, the NAPCRG Board remains committed to setting a course for the organization that embraces our core values, culture, and binational leadership. In fact, providing this direction is the most important work that the Board can and should be doing for NAPCRG.

With this in mind, the Board has re-examined its core beliefs, goals to achieve these, and the indicators that will provide insight on how successful we are at making progress toward these objectives.

The overarching NAPCRG core values that the Board tried to capture in these goals and indicators are:

  • Imagination
  • Capacity
  • Communications
  • Linkages

Woven within these goals and indicators is a strong belief that the engagement and mixing of researchers from nations around the world is essential to the success of our organization. The Board will actively work to maintain these voices and linkages as necessary components of our organization.

These indicators are intended to inform, provide direction, and possibly some discipline to NAPCRG committees, task forces, and special interest group activities. The goals and indicators are expected to help our committees and groups prioritize their activities but are not intended to be overly directive to the point of stifling creativity.

The NAPCRG Board will track these indicators annually, look for new time-sensitive opportunities continually, and will review these goals and indicators regularly.

We also believe it is important for our leadership and membership to have a common understanding of what our organization stands for and where we are committing our energies and resources. To view these indicators, please click here. We welcome your questions and feedback.
